    Hebron Municipality Briefs a Delegation of Leipzig University about Hebron Situation


    After the recent inscription of Hebron's Old City and Al Ibrahimi Mosque on the UNESCO's World Heritage List, Hebron Municipality is keen at organizing visits and tours for the tourists to brief them about the situation of the city.

    On Tuesday, Hebron Municipality received a German delegation consists of 70 students of Leipzig University, where they toured in the alleys of the Old City and in areas around the Ibrahimi Mosque, and then, they headed to Hebron University to present a chorale show.

    Thereafter, the Mayor of Hebron, Mr. Tayseer Abu Sneineh, met with the delegation at the Child Happiness Center. He underlined that Hebron Municipality seeks to promote the Palestinian identity and the cultural heritage of the Old City, where the Palestinian daily suffer of the Israeli occupation and settler practices as well as of the Israeli attempts to displace the local population and to increase settlement activity. He also added that these visits will strengthen the steadfastness of the Palestinians and will able the visitors to convey the reality of what is going on the ground that reveal the illegal practices of the occupation.
