    Hebron Municipality Participates in World Conference of World Historical Cities in Bursa


    The Municipal Councilor Dr. Yahia Shawer, who was accompanied by Mr. Yahia Natsheh, Director of Protocol at Hebron Municipality, participated in the Sixteenth World Conference of World Historical Cities, which was held in Bursa- Turkey, in the period between 07-09/09/2018. In this conference, many issues were discussed, such as, the Sustainable Development, Supporting the creative cities, the cultural globalization of historical cities, and how to cope with the environmental change that caused by the natural disasters. The conference was attended by the Mayor of Kyoto, Japan  Mr. Daisaku Kadokawa and other  representatives of 40 cities from 21 Countries.     

    On the sidelines on the conference, the Delegation of Hebron Municipality met with the Mayor of Bursa, Mr. Alinur Akta?, where Dr. Shawer conveyed the greetings of Hebron Mayor Mr. Tayseer Abu Sneineh and the Municipal Council, and briefed him about the situation of Hebron, as well as  the illegal practices of the Israeli Occupation and settlers against the innocent civilians of the city. 

    Moreover, Dr. Shawer called Mr. Akta? to visit Hebron City to get a first-hand view of the city's reality on the ground, to activate the twinning ties between Hebron and Bursa, and to promote the mutual cooperation between the two municipalities in different areas of development.
