Indonesia- Makassar- Mayor of Hebron, Mr. Tayseer Abu Sneineh, signed a Twinning and Cooperation Agreement  with the Mayor of Makassar, Mr. Mohammad Ramdhan Pomanto. The signing ceremony was in the attendance of the Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia, Mr. Zuheir Alshon, the Second Deputy Mayor of Hebron, Mr. Kamal Alzeer Alhussaini, and Mr. Bilal Muhtaseb, the Head of Public Relations at Hebron Municipality. This agreement aimed at promoting the bilateral ties between the two cities and sharing experiences in different fields.  

Mr. Abu Sneineh briefed the attendees about the situation of Hebron, the second oldest city in the World, which is recently inscribed on the UNESCO's World Heritage -in danger- list. He underlined the role played by Indonesian Government and people in supporting the Palestinian people and their just cause.

Mr. Pomanto expressed happiness for signing such agreement, and affirmed his standing commitment to support Hebron by all means available, with a view to strengthen the steadfastness of the citizens. He also expressed willingness to consider the projects submitted by the Mayor of Hebron that aim at developing and building the institutions of the Country.  

Furthermore,  Mr. Abu Sneineh made a detailed presentation in Hasan Alddin University in Makassar City, about the situation of Hebron, and the living conditions of its citizens. This was attended by the President of Indonesian Universities Union , a number of administrative bodies, and students of the University. It is worth mentioning that this University had provided scholarships for Bachelor and Master's students in Hebron City.
