    Hebron Municipality Sign MoU with NRC


    Thursday, Mayor of Hebron, Mr. Tayseer Abu Sneineh, and Ms. Keit Orok, the Head of Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), signed a Memorandum of Understanding, in the attendance of municipal councilors, administrative Directors of the municipality, and other representatives of NRC.                                         

    Abu Sneineh assured that this MOU goes in line with Hebron Municipality Strategic Development and Investment Plan to strengthen cooperation between the municipality and other institutions. Also, he added that this MoU aimed at protecting the right of housing, land and property  for the citizens of Hebron, particularly,  who live in H2 and C areas.

    On the other part, Ms. Orok expressed happiness at signing the memorandum, and noted that it would open doors for the Norwegian Refugee Council to protect the right of housing, land, and property, and to confront of the forced displacement in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, especially in the city of Hebron, which suffers of  the presence of settlement in its heart."This MoU will promote the objectives of the Council, in following-up cases and issues that fall within the framework of the Norwegian Council" she added.

    By the end of the meeting, the NRC displayed a presentation  about the services provided by the NRC to enhance the living condition of the Palestinians, and specially the citizens of Hebron.
