    Hebron Municipality Participates in World Smart Sustainable Cities Conference in Istanbul


    Hebron Municipality took part in the conference of World Smart Sustainable Cities which was organized by the World e-Government Organization
    (WeGO) and held in Istanbul, where many municipalities in the World attended the event.
     

    In his speech, Mayor Tayseer Abu Sneineh underlined that Hebron City is considered as the second oldest city in the world, and was recently recognized as a World Craft City, and inscribed on the UNESCO's World Heritage List " in danger list". He also said that despite of the Israeli Occupation obstruction and the illegal presence of settlers in the heart of the city, Hebron seeks to be one of the World Smart Cities.

    Mr. Abu Sneineh added that Hebron Municipality exerts much efforts in an attempt to promote the ties with which it has a twinning agreement through sharing expertise and experiences in different fields , and expressed his pleasure at the twinning agreement signed with Beyo?lu - Istanbul, at aims at  improving the quality of the services provided to citizens.

    On other part, Eng. Jumana Dweik, Head of Business Incubator at Hebron Municipality, presented a working paper working entitled GIS Applications particularly the  Naming and Numbering System.
