    Abu Sneineh briefs Italian delegation on violations of the Israeli occupation in Hebron


    Hebron Mayor, Tayseer Abu Sneineh received on Sunday a delegation from Genoa, headed by political activist Mario Margeni, former president of the Italian Democratic Party in Geednoa, to learn about the situation in Hebron and to promote co-operation in several areas, in the presence of members of the municipal council.

    Abu Sneineh briefed the delegation on the situation in Hebron and the daily violations by the occupation and the settlers against the citizens, indicating the recent seizure of a shop by the settlers, the construction of a new outpost in the old town and the control of a petrol station.

    The mayor of Hebron discussed with the delegation ways to promote joint cooperation in several areas, especially trade through the private sector, stressing on the depth of the relationship and friendship between the Palestinian and Italian people, and expressed the hope to open new areas of joint cooperation between Hebron municipality and Italian cities especially the city of Genoa, which has a twinning relationship with Hebron.

    From his part, "Margini " expressed his readiness to collaborate and connect Hebron municipality with Italian cities and various institutions, stressing that the twinning relationship is not restricted to the relations of friendship, but extends to the possibility of commercial exchange between the cities, pointing out that Palestinian products are widely popular in Italian markets, in addition to the possibility of benefiting from the health sector, as the best hospital for the treatment of children is located in Genoa.
