Daoud Zatari obtained his B.S. in Electrical Engineering in 1983, his M.S. in Electrical Engineering in 1984 and his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering in 1995 from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale (SIUC), U.S.A. For the past 14 years, he has been serving in the position as university president, in two of Palestine’s most prestigious technical universities.
He was engaged in many consultations for development of academic programs, higher education institutions as well as evaluation tasks. He was the National Tempus Coordinator for Palestine from July 2008 to July 2011. He has served on a number of committees at the national, regional and international levels.
Prof. Zatari has participated in many well renowned conferences, workshops, and meetings either as a keynote speaker or as a participant or as an official representative of delegation. Moreover, he has supervised many students’ projects on medical image processing and control. He has performed many educational activities and participated in setting up policies and rules for supporting scientific research.
Prof. Zatari has distinguished experience in scientific research mainly on Telemedicine, Information Technology and Networking and Biomedical Research. He has many remarkable achievements, publications and has gained many national and international awards and prizes.
