The Planning Department at the Hebron Municipality office carries out the business aspect of the Buildings department. The department follows the work of the initial proposals for the preparation of the structural plan. The Planning Department has developed proposed streets schemes in different parts of the city, especially in the areas of the new expansion.
In addition, the department follows up on the requests submitted about street and sidewalk renovations and it follows up on license transactions for new buildings.
The department prepares the proposed master plan of the streets and completes administrative work on approval of the local government for the streets and buildings. Currently, they are working on improving these older areas and streets: Ibn Rushd, Abu Daajan, Wadi al Karm , Wadi al Hariyya, Tel Rumeida, Dweirban, Qazon, and Nonkor street.
