The Mayor of Hebron, Mr. Tayseer Abu Sneineh, met with the Representative of Switzerland in Palestine, Mr. Julien Thoni,  where they discussed about the opportunity of promoting mutual cooperation between Hebron Municipality and other municipalities in Switzerland, and about the implication of the recent Israeli military illegal order to establish what is calling "a Hebron's settlers' affairs council" in the heart of Hebron city which is considered as an attempt to expropriate vast tracts of Hebron for the benefit of settlement and settlers.

 Mr. Abu Sneineh briefed the Representative about  Hebron's situation, and underlined the importance of cooperation between the two sides, " Municipality of Hebron is looking forward to sign twinning agreements with Swiss municipalities with a view to  sharing experiences and enhance the general condition of the Hebron" he said.

Mr. Thoni expressed readiness to cooperate with Hebron municipality in the field of Tourism, particularly after listing Hebron City on the UNESCO's World Heritage List, adding that he will exert much effort to attacking Swiss Tourists to visit Hebron city and get a view of its cultural heritage.
