    Hebron Municipality, First Palestinian City Signs Twinning Agreement with Amman Grater Municipality


    Jordan-Amman: Hebron Municipality and Amman Greater Municipality signed a twinning agreement that clearly states exchanging experiences in terms of Engineering, roads, transportation, strategic planning, and cooperating in the fields of Information Technology, Geographic Information System, furthrmore, beautifying the city and managing the urban heritage as well as exchanging experiences regarding Media, International Cooperation, sports, and youth and women' projects.
     
    The agreement which aimed at promoting relationships amongst the cities of Amman and Hebron and at achieving sustainable economic development was signed by Aqel Biltaji, Mayor of Amman, and Dr. Daoud Zatari, Mayor of Hebron in the attendance of Municipal Council Members from the two cities.
     
    " Signing the Twinning Agreement with Hebron Municipality comes on the footsteps of Hashemite Leadership in the context of supporting Palestinians, and is considered as a step forward towards exchanging municipal experiences in various fields " Added Mayor Biltaji.
     
    On his part, Dr. Zatari lauded the role of Amman Greater Municipality in supporting Hebron Municipality with a view to develop Hebron's different sectors to ensure Hebron's inhabitants' steadfastness despite the Israeli Occupation.
     
    Hebron Municipal Council Members then praised the last visit of members from Amman Municipality to Hebron which led to implement many projects such the Central Market, the Sport Hall, additionally, enhancing the road networks.
     
    It is worth mentioning that Amman Greater Municipality had a close ties with Hebron Municipality where many projects, activities and conferences were held between both sides. The current agreement is considered as the first twinning agreement signed between Amman and a Palestinian City.
     
    Dr. Zatari well as the accompanied delegation then headed to Bursa-Turkey to sign a Twinning Agreement with its municipality.
